Safety Glass

Safety glass comes in two main forms, laminated safety glass and toughened safety glass. We have both your door glass replacement and safety/security glass replacement covered with a wide range of glass to accommodate your installation requirements.

There are many benefits to using toughened safety glass in your doors or windows. Toughened safety glass is 5 times stronger than ordinary annealed/ float glass. When broken it fragments into small pieces and all the glass will fall out of the frame over time. We can replace the existing toughened glass in your window or door with the same product but usually this isn't a time effective option in regards to emergency glass replacement. As toughened safety glass can't be cut down once manufactured it will need to be custom made to your exact specifications. Toughened safety glass requires a 5-7 working day turnaround time for the job to be completed.  If time isn't of the essence and you would like the same type of glass reinstalled into your window or door, then toughened safety glass meets all necessary requirements.

Laminated safety glass replacement is becoming increasingly popular due to the inner plastic interlayer within the glass which holds it together when broken. It therefore provides the ultimate safety and security for your home, shop, office or factory. Additionally for an emergency glass replacement laminated safety glass is the way to go if safety glass is indeed a requirement. In most cases clear laminated safety glass can be installed on the day and within hours of your phone call.

Additionally we offer a glass audit or compliance service to homes and shops to make sure your property meets todays glass regulations outlined in the AS1288 building selection manual. If you have any concerns regarding the integrity of the glass in your windows, doors or shopfronts give us a call today and one of our friendly staff will be happy to help with your enquiry.
